Saturday, 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM, Studio South

"In diversity there is beauty and there is strength", states the American poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou.

"The defence of cultural diversity is inseparable from respect for human dignity. Cultural diversity can be protected and promoted only if human rights and fundamental freedoms are guaranteed" states the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.

Inspired by Angelou this workshop aims to explore culture as a complex social construct that enables us to embrace diversity; empowered by international declarations this workshop aims to explore different generations of human rights and their link to diversity.
