Participants who have been involved in an EUROPEANS FOR PEACE project are preferred.
Yes, we'll be happy to welcome you again to the conference.
We reimburse the travel expenses according to fixed travel lump sums, which depend on the distance of your city of residence to Berlin and return. This means that the lump sum for participants, e.g. from Germany will be relatively lower than for persons from Israel. If your tickets cost more than the lump sum, you will have to pay the difference. If possible, we also encourage you to use the train for environmental reasons. Please keep all original vouchers (tickets, boarding cards, invoices etc.).

Note: You need at least 60-90 minutes by public transport from Stiftung wannseeFORUM from/to the Berlin airports (Tegel or Schönefeld) and for most of the flights you need to be at the airport one hour before boarding, to be on the safe side count two hours.
The costs for your bookings are to be laid out by you and will be refunded to you in the aftermath or on the spot according to the Factsheet on Travel Expenses, please read it carefully.
This year you can present your own project at the conference. This could be an online project, a zine, an event etc.
Your project must fulfill the following criteria:
1.) Your project should be related to the conference theme in the broadest sense.
2.) At least one person from another country should be involved in your project. Ideally, this person should also participate in this conference.
During the conference you will have enough time to network and share projects with the other participants. We also offer pitch training where you learn the most important steps for a good pitch.
The best projects can win prize money of 1.000-2.000 EUR and will be invited to the next conference again in 2020 to present the completed project to an exciting audience. The participants of the conference and a jury consisting of representatives of the EVZ Foundation and the Foundation wannseeFORUM will award the prizes.
If you don't want to pitch a project or you don't have a project, that's not bad at all. Participating in pitching is absolutely not a must. But of course you can participate in the pitch training or take part in another workshop.
We are already looking forward to your creative and exciting projects.
You will stay overnight in 2-3 bed rooms at the venue of the wannseeFORUM Foundation. We provide four nights' accommodation between November 7-11 .
Arrival for the event is generally on November 7, the day of departure is November 11. If you would like to arrive or depart for Berlin sooner or later, this is only possible from November 5-13, 2019 for accounting reasons. The additional nights would be organized and paid for by yourself.
If you need a visa to enter Germany and need help, please send an e-mail to email@example.com
Unfortunately, the venue is not completely barrier-free, as the main building is a listed building, we can only convert it piece by piece. There are few rooms suitable for wheelchairs, the plenary room an some of the seminar rooms are at ground level and others are accessible via ramps and elevators.
Even if English is not your mother tongue, it is the most widely spoken language among our participants and a compromise for a common understanding. But don't worry, we try to keep it everyday. If you do not speak English at all, please contact us or we may invite language mediators.
You will be provided with three meals plus tea and coffee/cake per day. The first meal is the evening snack on the day of arrival, the last is likely to be a packed lunch on the day of departure. When you register, you can indicate whether you eat vegan, vegetarian or food with meat and whether we have to pay attention to allergies.
The wannseeFORUM Foundation is located in the Berlin-Wannsee district. From Berlin Central Station, the S7 runs every 10 minutes. From Wannsee S-Bahn station you can get to us by bus. A detailed description of how to get there will follow with the confirmation.
There will be an organisation and support team on site to help and advise you. You will receive the contact information shortly before the conference.
